Staff at polling station with election materials in Doti
There are 115 polling stations and polling booths in nine municipalities for the election.
KATHMANDU: MAY. 11 – For the upcoming local level election, election materials, including ballot papers, have been delivered to all polling stations in the district.
On Tuesday, staff and security personnel from the District Election Office Silgadhi reached at the polling station with election materials.
According to Bidur Kafle, Chief Electoral Officer of the District Election Officer, 64 different types of ballot boxes, voter ID cards, voter lists, and other materials were distributed to polling officers in all seven villages and two municipalities. Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Temporary Police, and Armed Police Force teams have also reached at the polling station.
There are 115 polling stations and polling booths in nine municipalities for the election. According to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, seven staff members besides security personnel will be deployed at the polling stations.
One polling station has a polling officer, an assistant polling officer, two assistant staff and one support staff. Similarly, the polling officer may appoint three volunteers.
All the staffs including the polling officer who were deployed in the election have understood the appointment letter and election facility on Tuesday.
According to the District Election Office, there are one lakh 23 thousand 553 voters in the district in the upcoming election.
