Election preparations intensified in Lamjung
There are 182 polling stations under 123 polling stations in the district.
KATHMANDU: MAY. 11 – Staff and security personnel have reached at all of Lamjung’s polling stations with the necessary materials for the upcoming local elections.
Sushil Baidya, Chief District Officer, stated that staff and security personnel arrived at the 182 polling stations in Lamjung with the necessary materials. “All of the ballot boxes, ballot papers, and other necessary materials have arrived at the polling station,” he stated.
For the election, 985 personnel were deployed, including 2,350 security personnel from the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police, Temporary Police, National Investigation and Voting Officers, and Assistant Polling Officers.
There are 182 polling stations under 123 polling stations in the district. There are 182 polling officers and 182 polling assistants officers. The District Election Office in Lamjung has deployed 349 support staff and 182 office assistants.
Each polling station will have a total of 546 volunteers. According to District Election Officer Sirjana Mishra, each polling station has one to three polling stations.
He claims that there are 15 polling stations with fewer than 500 voters. The support staff will be deployed to centers with up to 500 voters and two to centers with more than 500 voters.
According to the District Election Office, the commission has sent 58 different types of materials as well as other necessary materials.
Last Sunday, the polling officer and assistant polling officer received training. The district has one lakh 31 thousand 494 voters.
