Liverpool win over Aston Villa

KATHMANDU: MAY. 11 – Liverpool kept their English Premier League title hopes alive with a 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Tuesday. With this win, Liverpool has equalled Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.

Douglas Luiz scored for Villa in the sixth minute, but Joel Matip equalized for Liverpool. Sadio Mane scored the game-winning goal with a header 25 minutes before the end.

With this victory, Liverpool, which is still in the title race, remains second in goal difference, despite drawing level with the top team, Manchester City.

Liverpool have reached 86 points from 36 games. City, which has played one game less, has the same number of points.
