JSP & UML alliance in Palungtar, Gorkha
UML district chairperson Prem Gurung and JSP chairperson Yan Prasad Bhatta have reached an agreement and decided to form an alliance.
POKHARA: MAY. 10 – UML and JSP have formed an alliance in Palungtar, Gorkha.
UML district chairperson Prem Gurung and JSP chairperson Yan Prasad Bhatta have reached an agreement and decided to form an alliance.
“It has been decided that the CPN-UML will support the JSP for the post of mayor of Palungtar Municipality in Gorkha district, and the JSP will support the CPN-UML candidate for deputy chief,” according to the statement.
Likewise, an alliance has been formed in the ward. The UML has announced that it will support the CPN (UML) in Wards 6, 7, and 10, as well as the JSP in Wards 4 and 5.
Other municipalities and wards in the district are also said to have decided to go to the polls by mutual consent. In Gorkha and Gandaki Municipalities, the JSP has formed an alliance with the Maoists.
