Congress demands arrest of those involved in Anil Pariyar’s murder
Pariyar was stabbed to death by an unidentified group.
BHARATPUR: MAY. 9 – The Nepali Congress has demanded that those involved for the murder of Bagmati State Representative Anil Pariyar be arrested immediately.
Rajeshwar Khanal, President of the Nepali Congress in Chitwan, has issued a statement demanding the immediate arrest of those involved in the murder, making it public, and thoroughly investigating the incident.
Pariyar was stabbed to death by an unidentified group at Bharatpur Metropolitan City-7, Krishnapur, around 7.30 p.m. last night, according to Chitwan Police. Doctors declared the injured Pariyar dead after he was brought to Chitwan Medical College for treatment.
A one-hour sit-in was held in Bharatpur to protest the killing. Protests have been called off after the police administration agreed to look for those involved in the killings. Pariyar’s body was taken to Bharatpur Hospital for an autopsy.
Police said they were searching for the fugitive accused involved in the incident and that an investigation was being conducted.
