EC asked the Gandaki chief minister for clarification
He has been asked to submit an explanation within three days for violating the election code of conduct.
KATHMANDU: MAY. 8 – The Election Commission (EC) has asked Gandaki Chief Minister Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokharel for clarification. He has been given three days to explain why he violated the election code of conduct.
According to the Commission, the ‘Gandaki Chief Minister and Minister in the Congress program riding in a government vehicle’ should not be or should not be publicized, as per clause (a) of Article 5 of the Election Code of Conduct, 2078 BS.
“It is against the election code of conduct for the Chief Minister of the state government to use government resources to participate in the election meeting of the coalition, isn’t it?” The commission’s statement said, “If you participated in the coalition’s election rally, why shouldn’t you be prosecuted for violating the election code of conduct?” You are requested to submit your reply to the Commission within three days.
