KATHMANDU: MAY. 6 – Chandra Bahadur Gurung, the RPP-central Nepal’s treasurer, has left with Kamal Thapa. Gurung has resigned from the post of treasurer without even being an ordinary member of the party today.
Gurung has registered his resignation letter addressed to Chairperson Kamal Thapa at the Central Office, Bishalnagar today. Five days ago, RPP-N central vice-chairperson Uddhav Poudel, central members Urmila Adhikari and Shridhar Subedi also resigned from the party, leaving Thapa behind.
Gurung has been a colleague since Kamal Thapa was the chairperson of the Nationalist Independent Students’ Union. In 2038 BS, when Thapa was the president of Nepal Youth Organization, Gurung was the vice-chairperson. Gurung was also appointed vice president of the Indigenous Nationalities Commission in 2073 BS.
