Vehicle of RPP’s mayoral candidate set on fire

KATHMANDU: MAY. 6 – A mayoral candidate’s vehicle was set on fire in Morang district’s Belbari. The vehicle of Rastriya Prajatantra Party mayoral candidate Khem Prasad Gautam caught fire in Belbari Municipality.

According to Morang Police Chief SP Shanti Raj Koirala, a car (Ba 12 Cha 9384) parked in his yard at Belbari-2 Lalbhitti last night was set on fire. According to him, one person has been arrested for being involved in arson.

Subhash Pandey was seen spraying petrol on his car and setting it on fire around 1.40 p.m., according to CCTV footage from Gautam’s house. The incident is being investigated further.
