KATHMANDU: MAY. 5 – Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has stated that it is the government’s responsibility to hold local elections in a clean, fair, peaceful, and fearless environment.
He also instructed the security forces to conduct the local elections in a clean and fair manner during a meeting with Nepali Congress cadres at Rajbiraj in Saptari today. Home Minister Khand also urged all political parties to take part in the May 13 local elections in a friendly manner in order to strengthen democracy.
He stated that the Nepali Congress is a party that protects democracy and that the country’s pace of change will pick up after the election. Home Minister Khand also urged Congress to vote in favor of strengthening the country’s democracy.
On the occasion, Congress central member Dinesh Kumar Yadav claimed that the party would become the largest party in the country after the election as it has moved ahead by including the overall citizen’s agenda in the upcoming election.
