BIRATNAGAR: MASY. 5 – A suspicious object found in Morang’s Sundarharaicha Municipality-11 Shukrabare was confirmed to be counterfeit.

The locals had informed the police after a suspicious object was found in a maize field near the house of UML ward member candidate Jiv Nath Dhakal.

According to Shanti Raj Koirala, Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Morang, the fake bomb was kept for intimidation during the investigation conducted by the Nepal Army’s Bomb Disposal Team.

He said that the bomb had been defused by the Army Bomb Disposal Team. “It has been claimed that fake bombs were planted for the purpose of intimidation,” he said, the locals looked scared as it looked like a bomb.’

According to SP Koirala, a pamphlet and a stone with the word “revolutionary” were found inside the cooker.
