Attack on candidate’s father in Kamala, Dhanusha

KATHMANDU: MAY. 5 – A candidate’s father has been attacked in Dhanusha. Chandra Narayan Yadav, 70, father of Sarvadev Yadav, who was contesting for the post of ward chairperson in Kamala Municipality-1 of the district, was attacked with a sharp weapon.

According to the police, an unidentified group who came to attack Sarvadev, a candidate for the CPN-Maoist Center. As they were unable to open the door to attack ward chairperson candidate Sarvadev at his home in Magraha, they attacked his father, who was sleeping on the verandah outside.

Yadav has been stabbed with a khukuri and a knife. Yadav, who was critically injured, is being treated at the State Hospital in Janakpurdham.
