BIRATNAGAR: MAY. 4 – Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, who is also the president of the Nepali Congress, has stated that if his government is re-elected, he will begin paying old-age allowance at the age of 65.

Prime Minister Deuba stated this during a public meeting in Biratnagar on Wednesday afternoon. “The Oli party is providing allowance from the age of 70,” he explained. “When our government arrives, we will provide 6 years earlier.”

He stated that a Congress-led government should be formed for the country’s development and good governance. He also stated that a government led by Congress would be formed following the upcoming federal election.
