Biplav group erupted: Biplav expelled, Bastola appointed as coordinator
Khadka Bahadur Bishwakarma, a secretariat member and spokesperson, was also removed by the assembly.
KATHMANDU: MAY. 4 – Leaders of the Communist Party of Nepal’s rebel group, led by Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav,’ have removed General Secretary Biplav. Dharmendra Bastola, who has been holding a national assembly in Chitwan since May 3, has been appointed as the party’s coordinator.
Khadka Bahadur Bishwakarma, a secretariat member and spokesperson, was also removed by the assembly. According to a central member, the general secretary and the spokesperson were sanctioned for acting against the spirit of the party and carrying out a series of actions.
The assembly then began deliberations on the political document as a result of this decision.
Previously, on April 27, secretariat members Kanchan and Hemant Prakash Oli ‘Sudarshan’ were expelled from the party. Following that, they convened a meeting of the majority of central members and made such decisions.
