Gandaki State preparing for 9th National Sports
A total of 36 sports would be played in the Ninth National Sports Competition.
KASKI: MAY. 4 – The Gandaki State Government is working to organise the Ninth National Sports Competition scheduled for June 5-11.
Chief Minister of Gandaki State Krishna Chandra Pokharel on Tuesday convened a high-level meeting for the preparation and management of the sports tournament and took stock of the progress made so far.
Stating that though it is an event of the federal government, he asked all bodies and stakeholders to work responsibly since it is being held in Gandaki.
On this occasion, the Minister for Physical Infrastructure, Transport Management and Urban Development of Gandaki State Kumar Khadka laid emphasis on the systematic handling of the event in collaboration with the federal government.
The Gandaki State has estimated its total cost to be around Rs 52 million for the selection of sportsmen from the State’s district and other managerial jobs.
A total of 36 sports would be played in the Ninth National Sports Competition, which is being held in Gandaki after 39 years.
