Khukuri attack on ward member candidate

DHANGADHI: MAY.3 – A ward member candidate has been attacked with a khukuri in Baitadi.

Hariram Saund, an alliance ward member candidate from Dilashaini Rural Municipality-5, was attacked with a khukuri.

Anil Kumar Bista, a regional member of the Nepali Congress, claims that Saund was attacked by an unidentified group while he was on the way to one house to another. The injured was taken to Dhangadhi’s Gokuleshwor Hospital for further treatment.

The District Police Office in Baitadi has received information and further investigation into the incident is underway. As the election date approaches, clashes are breaking out in various districts.
