Solukhumbu: Congress-Maoist cadres clash, 3 injured

SOLUKHUMBU: MAY. 3 – A clash has broken out between Nepali Congress and UCPN (Maoist) cadres in Solukhumbu’s Thulung Dudhkoshi Rural Municipality-1.
The clash has resulted in the injuries of three people. In a clash between the two activists, two others were injured, including the Congress vice-president.
Vice President Chuda Bahadur Basnet, Secretary Milan Khatri, and Deepak Sunuwar are among those injured. They are being treated at the District Hospital in Phaplu. According to the hospital, their condition is stable.
According to the District Police Office of Solukhumbu, the two sides met during the election campaign and a tense situation developed. The situation here is now returning to normal.
On Monday alone, UML-Congress cadres clashed in Palpa.
