‘I will not be corrupt, and I will not allow others to be corrupt’

KATHMANDU: MAY. 2 – The Nepali Congress met with Biratnagar industrialists to discuss election strategy and preparations.
Nagesh Koirala, the Nepali Congress’s chief candidate for Biratnagar Metropolitan City, stated that the discussion focused on the election situation as well as the economic and industrial development of Biratnagar. He solicited suggestions for ways to reduce the tax rate.
Stating that he is clear about increasing the tax range and reducing the tax, he said, “I do not commit corruption. I will not allow others to do the same. ” Koirala has mentioned that road construction, provision of clean drinking water and long-term sanitation of Biratnagar are his priority programs.
Simultaneously, industrialists and businessmen had their own perspectives on the problems caused by the tax increase in the country’s economy. Dr Shekhar Koirala, Bimalendra Nidhi, and Mahesh Acharya, all members of the Congress party, were also present.
