KATHMANDU: MAY. 2 – Four ward members have been elected unopposed in the Kathmandu Metropolitian.
According to Chief Electoral Officer Raju Kumar Khatiwada, during the nomination registration held on April 24 and 25, only one candidate from each of the four wards, including wards 18, 22, 23, and 27, ran unopposed.
Ambika Sunar of Ward 18, Geeta Pariyar of Ward 22, Kanchana Nepali (Harijan) of Ward 23, and Prabha Pariyar of Ward 27 are among those to be elected.
Only the CPN-UML fielded candidates in Wards 18, 22, and 27, while the Nepali Congress fielded candidates in Ward 23.
