Coalition leader said, “We will lose 20 wards including mayor & deputy mayor in Pokhara.”
The Maoist, JSP, and Janamorcha parties are all empty.
POKHARA: MAY. 2 – The Unified Socialists lead the ruling coalition in Pokhara. The UCPN (Maoist) has a mayor candidate, while the Congress has a deputy mayor.
Following the UML, the Congress, which received the most votes, did not receive the mayoral ticket. As a result, Congress did not abandon its claim in all 33 wards in this ward.
The Maoist, JSP, and Janamorcha parties are all empty. They have even run for office together in some wards. However, candidates from the Congress Party, Maoists, Socialists, and others are running in many wards.
Many people believe that if only the mayor and deputy mayor form an alliance, the results will be poor.
In this context, a JSP leader posted a status update on social media assessing the alliance’s humiliating defeat. ‘The Pokhara ruling coalition has completely failed. The opposition UML appears to have won at least 20 seats, including the mayor/deputy mayor,’ he wrote.
Even now, despite the fact that the alliance’s candidates are said to be common, the Congress has not campaigned for the Socialists, and the Socialists have not campaigned for the Congress.
They each have their own flag. They have requested that the coalition vote, but are hesitant to call it an election symbol.
