IGP appointment mocks rule of law: Shekhar Koirala

KATHMANDU: MAY. 2 – Dr. Shekhar Koirala, leader of the Nepali Congress, has objected to the government’s appointment of an Inspector General of Police (IGP).

Koirala has criticized the government of breaking rules and regulations in appointing the IGP.

Following the government’s promotion of Dhiraj Pratap Singh to the post of Inspector General of Nepal Police, he began mocking the rule of law on social media.

वरियता र प्रक्रिया मिचेर नेपाल प्रहरीको आईजीपी नियुक्त गर्ने सरकारको निर्णयले बिधिको शासनको खिल्ली उडाउँने काम गरेको छ।
सरकारको यो निर्णयले सिंगो प्रहरी संगठनलाई फेरि एकपटक बिवादमा ल्याएको छ।
