Two UML candidates unopposed in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: MAY. 2 – Two members of CPN (UML) have been elected unopposed in Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

Ambika Sunar, a Dalit woman member of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward 18, and Geeta Pariyar, a Dalit woman member of Ward 22, were also elected unopposed, according to the Election Commission.

Both are CPN (UML) candidates, according to Nirmal Deula, Chairperson of the CPN (UML) Kathmandu Metropolitan Committee.
