Registration of candidature for ward member by resigning from post of municipality Chairperson

SURKHET: MAY. 1 – Prem Budha, chairperson of the Bhairabi Rural Municipality of Dailekh, has resigned as chairperson and has run for ward member. Budha was elected as the municipality’s chairperson from the CPN (UML) in the 2074 BS local level election.

However, in the upcoming local level election on May 13, Budha has resigned from the post and declared his candidacy for the post of ward member.

Budha has applied for the post of ward member from Bhairabi Rural Municipality Ward No. 7 Kusapani. Though Budha hoped to be re-elected as municipal chairperson, the UML has nominated him for the post of ward chairperson.

It has been revealed that Budha has registered his candidature for the post of Dailekh District Coordinating Committee chief.

There are 11 local levels in Dailekh. UML has fielded Sarvaraj Mahatara as its candidate for the post of chairperson of Bhairabi.
