KATHMANDU: MAY. 1 – The CPN (UML) has decided to mobilize 200 volunteers in each polling station for the May 13 local elections.

The UML People’s Organization Coordinating Committee met on Saturday and decided that 200 volunteers would be deployed in each of the 753 local level polling stations to assist voters and protect their votes, according to RC Lamichhane, senior vice-chairperson of the party.

In this election, there are 10 756 polling stations and 21 955 polling booths. Volunteers will be recruited from the ANNFSU, National Youth Union, Bhupu Sainik, and Nepal Sports Federation.
