A member of Nepali Congress unopposed in Nagarjuna

KATHMANDU: MAY. 1 – A woman member has become unopposed in Nagarjuna Municipality of Kathmandu.

Sobha Nepali, who was nominated on behalf of the Nepali Congress for the post of Dalit women member in Municipality Ward No. 4, is running unopposed.

Parbati Aryal, the election officer, has announced that she was elected unopposed. “As Sobha Nepali is the sole candidate for the post of Dalit woman member of Nagarjuna Municipality Ward No. 4, declare that she has been elected unopposed in accordance with Article 25 of the Local Level Election Act, 2073 BS,” said the notice.
