More than eight thousand candidates withdrew their candidacies
The final list of candidates for the local elections was published on Friday.
KATHMANDU: MAY. 1 -Approximately 8,000 candidates for local elections have withdrawn their candidacies.
More than 8,000 of the 153,000 candidates have withdrawn.
Election Commission Spokesperson Shaligram Sharma Poudel stated that work is underway to provide election symbols to those who have maintained their candidature.
The final list of candidates for the local elections was published on Friday. The local-level election is being held on May 13.
