KATHMANDU: APRIL. 30 – A meeting of the ruling coalition is scheduled to be held in Baluwatar of the capital at this time to prepare the election strategy.

As the election date approaches, a meeting of the ruling coalition parties that have coordinated for the local elections will be held shortly at the Prime Minister’s official residence. The meeting will review current election activities and discuss future strategies among the alliance’s five parties.

Meanwhile, leaders from the Maoist Central Committee, including Maoist Central Committee Chairperson Prachanda, have reached at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar. An earlier meeting of the coalition decided to cancel coordination with parties outside the coalition, withdraw the rebel candidates’ candidacy, or take other action.

Some rebel candidates have withdrawn their candidacies, while others have been suspended for running independently, according to the decision.
