Maoists withdrew their candidacies in majority of Pokhara wards

POKHARA: APRIL. 29 – The UCPN-M has withdrawn their candidacy in the majority of Pokhara Metropolitan City wards.
According to Deepak Koirala, the metropolitian of the Maoist center in-charge, the UCPN-M has withdrawn its candidacy in six wards. Candidates from wards 18, 22, 24, 28, 30 and 32 have withdrawn their candidacies.
The Maoists withdrew their candidacy and pledged to back the Nepali Congress.
According to the coalition’s central decision, the party is on the side of the Unified Socialists.
