Governor Adhikari gets relief from SC, orders to work until a decision is made

KATHMANDU: APRIL. 29 – The Supreme Court (SC) grants relief to Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari.
The Supreme Court has issued an interim order prohibiting the government from forming an inquiry committee to investigate Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari.
A joint bench of Justices Sapana Pradhan Malla and Tanka Moktan continued the earlier order of the single bench and ordered to remain in office till the issue is decided.
Previously, a single bench led by Justice Hari Phuyal issued a temporary restraining order until April 26.
