Order of Tanahun Congress to withdraw rebel candidature

POKHARA: APRIL. 29 – The Nepali Congress Tanahun has ordered the withdrawal of the rebel candidate.

President Jeet Prakash Ale issued a statement today directing that the candidature be withdrawn.

It is also proposed to provide opportunities to those who withdraw their candidature in future.

Rebel candidates have been fielded by influential Nepali Congress leaders in Tanahun’s Bandipur and Shuklagandaki Municipalities.

Man Kaji Shrestha has declared his candidacy for chairperson in Bandipur, while Maheshwar Bhattarai has declared his candidacy for mayor in Shuklagandaki.

Shrestha, on the other hand, has submitted a letter of resignation to the party. His resignation has been rejected.
