POKHARA: APRIL. 29 – If the rebel candidate does not withdraw their candidacy in a timely manner, Congress has a central order that automatically expels the proponents and supporters.

Three candidates have filed candidacies against the alliance in Pokhara Metropolitian. Nanda Tiwari, Rishi Sapkota, and Bimal Karki have all put their names forward for mayor. They claimed that their candidacy was in opposition to the party’s decision, which forced Congress to vote in other constituencies.

Even after the party’s order, they have not withdrawn their candidacy. They haven’t even picked up the phone yet. Bishnu Bahadur Karki is the proposer of Sapkota and Thakur Prasad Baral is the supporter. Tiwari’s proposer is Thakur Prasad Kandel and his supporter is Radhika Tiwari. Karki has Fadendra Karki as the proposer and Khim Bahadur Gharti as the supporter.

Congress, however, has no information on whether or not their proposer or supporter is an organized member of the party. “We do not yet know the nominees and supporters of the rebel candidates,” said Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal, secretary of the Kaski Congress. We’re in the process of consulting.’

Dhanraj Acharya, a leader of the alliance’s Unified Socialists, has been nominated for mayor of Pokhara. Kopila Ranabhat, a Congress leader, has been nominated as deputy mayor. The three mayor’s detractors are all active members of Congress who have held various posts.
