Two women candidates for chief post in Jumla

KATHMANDU: April. 28 – Women are running for chief posts in two Jumla municipalities.

Jayalaxmi Chaulagain of the Unified (Socialist) Party has announced her candidacy for the post of chief of Jumla’s Chandannath Municipality in the upcoming local elections.

According to the Chief Election Officer’s Office, the same party has registered Bhim Thapa’s candidacy for the post of Deputy Chief.

Similarly, the CPN (UML) Jumla has nominated a woman for the post of chairperson in Guthichaur Rural Municipality. The UML has nominated Jhun Maya Jaisi for the position of Chairperson.
