KATHMANDU: APRIL. 28 – Sirjana Singh, a Congress leader who has run for mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has decided that if she wins, she will change the face of the metropolitian. This was stated by Singh while unveiling the resolution paper at a function held on Thursday at the Karki Banquet at Babar Mahal. “I urge you to let me win, I will keep the head of the metropolis high, I will change the face of the metropolitian,” she said.

She has made seven of her resolutions public. Her seven resolutions includes service and good governance, health, education, and social security, clean and tidy city, sustainable tourism, urban security, culture, heritage, and civilization, strong and inclusive infrastructure, self-reliant women, strong youth, and creative metropolitan residents.

Singh has promised to promote women’s programs. “It’s difficult to work at night and move around easily,” she explained. For that, I’ll build a city with street lights and CCTV cameras. ‘I will keep the girls/women safe and allow them to walk all night in Kathmandu.’
