Complaint against a candidate accused of engaging in anti-China policy

POKHARA: APRIL. 27 – A complaint has been lodged against the Congress candidate for the post of chairperson in Lomanthang of Mustang district. Tashi Gurung, who has been nominated for the position of chairperson, has been the subject of a complaint filed by the UML.

A complaint has been filed with the district administration office alleging his involvement in anti-China activities.

Gurung has been accused by the UML of violating Nepal’s anti-China policy. He is accused of campaigning for Mrs. Gary Dhoma’s election to the Tibetan government and then walking through a Tibetan camp in Nepal. His wife is currently the Tibetan government’s Home Minister, according to the indictment.

Meanwhile, the Nepali Congress (NC) has filed a complaint against the Maoist candidate for Dharche, Gorkha’s chairperson. A complaint has been filed against Laxman Gurung, who registered his candidacy for chairperson on behalf of the UCPN-M, alleging that he was engaged in contract work.

According to the complaint, Laxman Rupinala is the construction operator, and his company has taken the contract to build the assembly hall at Dharche-6, Kashigaun.

The Election Commission has barred the construction businessmen working in the same municipality from being candidates.
