Bringing change that people experience directly: Pema Chhiri Sherpa

KATHMANDU: APRIL. 27 – Pema Chhiri Sherpa, who has been nominated for the post of deputy mayor in Gokarneshwor municipality, has said that he will bring change in the kind of development that the people can directly experience. Gokarneshwor Municipality In-Charge of the CPN-Maoist Center.

Sherpa, a successful businessman and engaged in education service, claimed that he would focus on the economic development of Gokarneshwor Municipality and that the municipality would automatically pick up the pace of development if the economic condition of the city dwellers was good. Roads, drinking water, street lights, sewerage and environmental development are considered important physical infrastructure by Sherpas.

During his tenure, he plans to move forward with the participation of the people in the development of such physical infrastructure. Sherpa has promised not to take the services provided by the government if he wins the post of deputy mayor and to use the money from that for development.
