Coalition’s deputy mayoral candidature cancelled in Sindhuli

KATHMANDU: APRIL. 27 – Dirgharaj Shrestha’s candidacy for the position of Deputy Chief of the CPN (Maoist Center) has been cancelled in Sindhuli’s Kamalamai Municipality. His candidacy has been cancelled as his name remains on the proportional system’s closed list.

On Monday, he filed his candidacy for the post of deputy chief on behalf of the coalition. Dhruva Prasad Sapkota, Chief Election Officer, issued a notice on Tuesday stating that registration could not be done in the Election Commission’s software.

In addition to Shrestha, the candidacy of one ward chairman and seven ward members has been cancelled.
