Government of Nepal prohibits import of ten different types of goods (with list)

KATHMANDU: APRIL. 27 – The government of Nepal has prohibited the import of ten different types of goods. The import of luxury goods into Nepal has been prohibited by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies.

The Ministry has also published a list of goods that are not permitted to enter Nepal in the Nepal Gazette. The import of the aforementioned goods has been halted until the end of Ashar.

These are the prohibited items: –

  • Kurkure, Kurmure, Lays and similar products
  • All kinds of prepared alcohol products
  • Cigarettes and tobacco products (raw materials are exempt)
  • Diamonds (exemption for import of industrial raw materials)
  • Mobile
  • Colour television (over 32 inches)
  • Jeeps, cars and vans (available for ambulance and hearse)
  • Motorcycles with a capacity of more than 250 cc
  • All kinds of toys
  • Playing Card
