More than 1,900 candidates registered in Dailekh
SURKHET: APRIL. 26 – A total of 1,983 candidates have filed nominations for the local level election in the Dailekh district.
There are 220 candidates in Aathabis Municipality, 236 in Chamunda Bindrasaini Municipality, 245 in Dullu Municipality, and 235 in Narayan Municipality, according to the District Election Office in Dailekh.
Similarly, 136 candidates have been registered in Gurans Rural Municipality, 110 in Dungeshwor Rural Municipality, 150 in Bhagawatimai Rural Municipality, 154 in Naumule Rural Municipality, 156 in Mahabu Rural Municipality, 175 in Bhairabi Rural Municipality, and 157 in Thantikandh Rural Municipality, according to District Election Officer Manmaya Kaucha.
There are 77 candidates for municipality chief, 65 candidates for deputy chief, 474 candidates for ward chairperson, 721 candidates for open members, 338 candidates for women members, and 308 candidates for Dalit women members.
