12 candidates for mayor of Gokarneshwor

KATHMANDU: APRIL. 26 – Twelve people have applied for the post of mayor of Gokarneshwor Municipality.

According to the Election Commission, there are eight party candidates and four independent candidates among the registered candidates.

Similarly, seven people have applied for the post of deputy mayor of the municipality. Six are party candidates, and one is running as an independent.

Similarly, there are 48 ward chairperson candidates from the municipality’s nine wards. There are 74 nominations for open male ward members and 41 nominations for open female ward members. Thirty Dalit women members of the municipality have registered their candidacy.

At the same time, the number of candidates registering for various posts from all over the municipality has reached 212.
