Work is being done to instill fear by displaying Sri Lanka’s economy: Minister Karki

KATHMANDU: APRIL. 26 – Minister for Information and Communications Gyanendra Bahadur Karki has accused of creating fear in Nepal by showing Sri Lanka’s economic crisis.

He made the remarks during a meeting called by Finance Minister Janardan Sharma to discuss budget preparations. He was referring to an expert analysis that stated that an economic crisis similar to the one in Sri Lanka could occur, as the crisis in Nepal’s economy has recently worsened.

During the discussion, he stated, “There is a lot of fear in showing the Sri Lankan economy here.”

Minister Karki proposed that the upcoming budget address only concrete issues and emphasize economic development.
