All members including Chairperson Cheten were unopposed in Olangchung Gola

KATHMANDU: APRIL. 26 – Ward members including Cheten Walung have been elected unopposed as the chairperson of Olangchun Gola in Phaktanglung Rural Municipality-7 of Taplenjung. While registering the candidature, all the members including the ward chairman were elected unopposed without any other contestant.

Last week, the community of Olangchun Gola had unanimously elected Phaktanglung as the ward chairperson of Rural Municipality-7. According to the District Election Office, Tashi Sherpa, female members Wangya Sherpa, Fupulhamu Shrestha and Bipana Tumbahamphe BK have been elected unopposed from the Walung CPN (UML).

According to Bipin Dulal, Information Officer at the Election Office, the ward chairperson was elected unopposed. Olangchung Gola is a mountain settlement located at an altitude of 3,500 meters above sea level.
