Local elections managing 35,221 leaders/cadres
KATHMANDU: APRIL. 25 – The schedule for the local level election, which will take place on May 13, began on Sunday. Candidate nomination registration will be completed at 5 p.m. today.
Elections will be held across the country for the leadership of 753 local levels, including 6 metropolitans, 11 sub-metropolitans, 276 municipalities, and 460 rural municipalities.
The election will feature competition for 35,221 different posts from across the country. This election will manage the people’s local representatives as well as a large number of party leaders and cadres.
There will be 653 local level 6,743 ward chairpersons elected, as well as the same number of ward women members elected.
Similarly, only 6,743 Dalit women will be elected as ward members, while 13,486 other ward members will be elected.
