UML finalizes candidate in Gorkha municipality
POKHARA: APRIL. 25 – CPN-UML has also finalized its candidate for Gorkha Municipality. One of them has a woman as mayor, while the others are all men.
The Gorkha Municipality has chosen Samjhana Devkota as mayor, with Dinesh Tamu, who recently joined Maoists, as deputy mayor. Hari Bhatta and Parvati Pathak were chosen as the chief and deputy chief of Palungtar, Shekhar Nath Neupane as the chairperson of Ajirkot Rural Municipality and Sharmila Tamang as the vice-chairperson.
Krishna Bahadur Nepali is chosen as chairperson of Arughat Rural Municipality and Meena Baram chosen as vice-chairperson, Gopal Pandey chosen as chairperson of Gandaki Rural Municipality and Renuka Naharki as vice-chairperson.
Suresh Babu Shrestha and Gomadevi Devkota as Bhimsen Thapa Rural Municipality chairperson, Manoj Joshi and Luna Thapa as Shahid Lakhan Rural Municipality chairperson, Devraj Shrestha as Siranchowk Rural Municipality chairperson and Vivah Gurung as vice-chairperson, Dal Bahadur Bhatta as Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality chairperson and Krishna Kumari Shrestha as vice-chairperson and Suk Bahadur Gurung as Chumanuwri Rural Municipality chairperson and Sanu Gurung has got a ticket for vice-chairperson.
