Distribution of power partner parties ended in Baglung
KATHMANDU: APRIL. 25 – The power partner parties in Baglung have decided on their candidates for the upcoming local elections.
According to the agreement, the Nepali Congress will nominate six candidates, the CPN (Maoist Center) will nominate two, and the Rastriya Janamorcha will nominate two. According to Balawati Sharma, central member of the UCPN-M, the party will field joint candidates for the posts of chief of Baglung and Galkot Municipalities and chairpersons of Kathekhola, Badigad, Nisikhola and Tamankhola Municipalities.
The UCPN (M) has agreed to field candidates for the post of chief of Tarakhola Rural Municipality and Dhorpatan Municipality. Similarly, Rastriya Janamorcha will nominate the head of Jaimini Municipality and the chairperson of Bareng Rural Municipality.
In Baglung Municipality and Galkot Municipality, the Maoist Center will field candidates for the post of Deputy Chief. The vice-chairperson of Nisikhola Rural Municipality is also part of the Maoist center. Rastriya Janamorcha has got Kathekhola Rural Municipality and Badigad Rural Municipality vice-chairperson. According to Sharma, the CPN-U will field a candidate for the post of deputy chief of Tamankhola Rural Municipality.
She informed that the Maoist Center and the Rastriya Janamorcha have agreed to have a deputy chief in all the municipalities. The ward chairperson and ward members have also been divided. The meeting of the coalition came to a conclusion after the distribution of the District Coordination Committee.
It has been agreed that Rastriya Janamorcha and CPN-U will get the post of the head of the District Coordination Committee.
