Solukhumbu: Congress leaders Savita & Sharada enter Maoist center

SOLUKHUMBU: APRIL. 25 – Savita Rai and Sharada Tamang, leaders of the Nepali Congress and Solukhumbu, have joined the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center).

Leaders Savita and Sharada entered the Maoist center on Sunday. They were welcomed by leaders including Ashim Rai, coordinator of the Maoist Center, Coordination Committee Solukhumbu.

Savita Thulung is also the Dudhkoshi Rural Municipality’s elected vice-chairperson. In the 2074 BS local elections, she was elected vice-chairperson of the Nepali Congress. According to leaders, she is still being re-nominated by the Maoist center.

Sharada is also the Solududhkunda Municipality’s Nepali Congress spokesperson. She has been given the ticket of deputy mayor by the Maoist center, Dudhkund Municipality. She has filed her candidacy for the position of deputy mayor today.

According to Ghanshyam Nepali, coordinator of the Thulung Dudhkoshi Rural Municipality Coordinating Committee, the Maoist center, along with Savita and Sharada, has entered the Maoist center.
