Thapa as mayor of Biratnagar from UML, Karki as deputy mayor

BIRATNAGAR: APRIL. 25 – UML has finalized a candidate for the Biratnagar Metropolitan City. The mayor of Biratnagar Metropolitan City will be Sagar Thapa, and the deputy mayor will be Shilpa Niroula Karki.

At midnight, the CPN-UML Central Committee decided on the mayor and deputy mayor of Biratnagar Metropolitan City.

Binod Dhakal, CPN-UML central member and Morang district in-charge, stated that the UML has finalized the candidates for all metropolitan constituencies after Biratnagar metropolitan committee chairperson Sagar Thapa and vice-chairperson Shilpa got tickets for mayor and deputy mayor, respectively.
