Pokhara: Congress office bearers detained at party office

POKHARA: APRIL. 24 – Officials from the Nepali Congress have been detained at the party’s office in Pokhara. Nepali Congress cadres opposed to electoral coordination in the metropolitan detained district committee official, Kaski, at the party office.

Leaders/activists who have been demanding that Congress include the metropolis’s mayoral candidate in the alliance have detained district committee officials while they were in the meeting. The alliance has agreed that the CPN-U will get the Pokhara mayoral candidate, with whom they have expressed dissatisfaction.

They were detained during the meeting, according to Congress District Secretary Bhanu Dhakal. “We were about to finalize the negotiations,” he explained. ‘Awakening the character is a big deal.’
