Thus ended Bharatpur division of alliance, Prachanda’s ward to Congress

BHARATPUR: APRIL. 24 – The distribution in Bharatpur Metropolitan City has been finalized by the ruling coalition. The alliance has finalized the distribution in the wards in Bharatpur, which is part of the Maoist center in the metropolitan division.

The UCPN (M) will run in 5 wards, while the Nepali Congress will run in 20. The Nepali Congress leaders have been agitating that the Maoists should not be given the post of mayor. However, the Maoists are part of the center in the central metropolitan division. Here, there is still a Maoist central government. Renu Dahal, daughter of UCPN (M) Central Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal, can be again elected as a mayor here.

Prachanda’s ward no. 14 is to take by Congress. Similarly, the Unified Socialists are taking 3 wards.

The Congress is going to take the chairmanship in 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,10,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,23,27,29.

Similarly, the Maoists will field candidates for the post of ward chairperson of wards 11, 13, 24, 25 and 28, while the CPN (Maoist) will contest for wards 9, 12 and 22.

However, no agreement has been reached in Ward 26. The Congress is making the same claim.
