Dulal of NCP is first to register his candidature for post of Mayor of Bharatpur
BHARATPUR: APRIL. 24 – Hari Prasad Dulal of the Nepal Workers’ and Peasants’ Party was the first to declare his candidacy for mayor of Bharatpur.
After reaching the office of the Chief Election Officer, he was the first to register his candidacy for the post of Mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City.
The Election Commission is accepting nominations for the May 13 local elections today and tomorrow. Dulal, who filed his candidacy for mayor at 11 a.m. today, is supported by Rabin Kumar Pradhan and proposed by Shyam Krishna Khair Goli.
Nepal Workers’ and Peasants’ Party has not registered his candidature for deputy mayor. Following Dulal, Rastriya Janamukti Party candidate Gyan Bahadur Gurung registered his candidacy for mayor of municipality. Tek Bahadur Magar is his supporter, and Rabindra Singh Gurung is his proposer.
Mina Thapa Magar of the Janamukti Party has filed her nomination for deputy mayor. Bimala Rana is her proposer, and Sumitra Rana is her supporter.
