These are the chiefs of 16 municipalities of Morang selected by UML

BIRATNAGAR: APRIL. 24 – UML has finalized its candidates in 16 municipalities of Biratnagar and Belbari. Candidates have been decided in 16 out of 17 municipalities of Morang for the local level election to be held on May 13.

According to the CPN-UML District Committee, Narendra Prasad Dhungel and Nirmala Rai will be the candidates for the post of chairperson and vice-chairperson respectively in Miklajung of Morang. Ganga Kharel and Mina Poudel have been nominated as the chief and deputy chief of Urlabari Municipality respectively.

Shyam Rajbanshi and Mira Das will be the candidates for the post of chief of Sunwarshi Municipality. According to the CPN-UML, Mohan Tumbapo and Devi Maya Kafle have been nominated for the post of chief and deputy chief respectively from Pathari Shanishchare Municipality.

According to CPN-UML Morang Secretary Rupesh Khatiwada, Rajmati Ingnam and Bhola Adhikari have been nominated for the post of Kanepokhari chairperson and deputy chief respectively. Similarly, Bhupendra Lawati and Krishna Kumari Niraula have got tickets for the post of chief and deputy chief respectively. Suman Miringching and Manmaya Magar are the candidates of Kerabari Rural Municipality for the post of chairperson and vice-chairperson respectively.

Kedar Guragain and Akali Chaudhary are the chief and deputy chief of Sundarharaicha, Shiv Narayan Majhi and Gunawati Dhami are the village head, Balbhadra Sardar chairperson and Tulsa Kunwar Bista vice-chairperson are the candidates of Budhiganga Rural Municipality. Subash Sardar and Sita Rajbanshi are the candidates of Katahari for the post of chairperson and vice-chairperson respectively.

Similarly, both the chairperson and vice-chairperson of Jahada Rural Municipality are female candidates. UML Secretary Khatiwada informed that Yashoda Giri and Anita Soren have been confirmed as candidates for the post of chairperson and vice-chairperson respectively.

In Dhanpalathan, Musharu Mandal and Upasi Devi Rajbanshi, Dilip Bagadiya as the chief of Rangeli and Bhuma Parajuli Niraula as the deputy chief have been nominated. Similarly, DP Rai and Gyanendra Subedi are yet to be selected as the chief of Belbari Municipality while Ganga Shrestha will be the deputy chief candidate.

UML Morang has stated that it is certain that Sagar Thapa and Shilpa Karki will be the candidates for the post of Chief and Deputy Chief of Biratnagar Metropolitan City, respectively. UML Morang has stated that the decision of the center is awaited as it will be decided by the center.
