Bal Bahadur Chairperson resigns from UCPN (Maoist), supporting Gopi Hamal

DHANGADHI: April. 24 – Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan Ward No. 3 Chairperson Bal Bahadur Air has resigned and declared his candidacy as an independent candidate. In 2074 BS, he was elected as the Maoist center’s ward chairperson.

After being recommended for the post of deputy mayor by the Maoists, he left the party and declared his candidacy for the post again.

He stated that he would support for independent candidate Gopal Hamal (Gopi) for mayor. Along with Air, 175 other people have left the party, including 23 ward committee members.

He stated that they are preparing to give independent candidacy to ward members, including the ward chairperson, in Ward 3. He was initially an aspirant for mayor.
